Stuck! Now what?
Day Twenty-Six of How to Attract Clients and Grow a Thriving Private Practice in 40 Days: One woman’s personal journey of applying Manifestation and Marketing principles to re-building her private practice
By Kathryn Yarborough I’m feeling stuck with this process. I’m just not sure I’m really willing to see 25 clients a week – or the equivalent in client contact hours. I’m going to use a process I teach in the Creative Tools: Helping Clients Decrease Inner Conflict workshop. The Process The process has a few steps including identifying the different “voices” or parts of myself and having them talk together until they can "get along" and work together. One of the reasons we get stuck is because our different parts want different things and aren't working together. In the process I use, they're able to resolve their differences, our inner conflict dissolves, and our actions align with our desires. If you're feeling stuck and want to to use this process, feel free to contact me for some Manifestation Coaching. Let’s see who’s in my head… Part 1: I don’t want to see 25 clients a week – it’s too much for me. You can call me “Overwhelmed by people.”Part 2: I want to do what Guidance is suggesting and see 25 clients a week. You can call me “Willing.” Part 3: I want to work on the computer and make money via my websites. You can call me “Excited about introversion and creativity." I’m going to do this conversation as a role-play with props. I’ll be back and let you know what happens.Later… During the role-play 2 more parts became evident: I learned that the part of me that is “Excited about introversion and creativity” is in love with life and totally enjoys doing things like this writing project. Guidance told me it wants me to take on seeing 25 clients a week as a spiritual practice… that doing this is a way I will experience our Oneness. It said that then my “Excited about creativity” part can fully express itself in ways that are even more useful for others. My aha moment was when I recognized that my “clients” are all parts of myself… every one who comes into my life is some part of me. Another way to say that is that each client has an issue or challenge that reminds me of one of my issues or challenges. At the end of the process, instead of wanting to keep them out, I welcomed my “clients” into my world. In conclusion… I feel, if not completely resolved and unstuck… I feel willing to provide help, love, and guidance. My “clients” in the role-play told me to go ahead and schedule everything I need and want to do for the year – plan on all the classes, workshops, creative time, long weekends, and vacations I want to take. I feel ready to return to my one year business and marketing plan tomorrow. That sounds like fun! If you want to know more about this journey and techniques to use, go from stuck to a list of topics and introduction of this process.
