Kinesthetic Visualization and the Law of Attraction
Day Twenty of How to Attract Clients and Grow a Thriving Private Practice in 40 Days: One woman’s personal journey of applying Manifestation and Marketing principles to re-building her private practice
By Kathryn Yarborough Today, to activate the Law of Attraction, I’m going to use kinesthetic visualization. “Kinesthetic visualization” is a process of imagining - with all of your senses - the future as if it’s happening now. With this process... - We imagine we’re doing it (i.e. seeing 25 clients a week) and...
- sense our bodies go through the motions of it,
- feel our emotions as we do it,
- look out of our eyes as we do it,
- hear the sounds that are happening as we do it.
... All as if it were happening now. As I use kinesthetic visualization to imagine seeing 25 Breath of Life coaching clients… I experience myself in my room (where I see clients) 4-5 days a week with clients. I feel myself focused on others for 6- 8 hours a day while staying aware of my breath and body sensations as well. I experience a release and opening in my body as my clients deepen their breath and open their bodies. I feel compassion for others’ suffering and life challenges. I delight in the individuality of each person who comes through my door. I love being with my clients. I’m aware that when my mind drifts, I experience some concerns or questions like… - Can I be compassionate enough?
- Will I attract people who can pay me my full fee or only people who are challenged by money?
- Will I really attract 25 weekly clients?
When I switch into doubt and uncertainty, it’s as if there is a big chasm between me and the rest of the world and like no one will ever cross that chasm to be my client. When I visualize seeing 25 Breath of Life coaching clients a week, I experience certainty and centeredness. I feel like a magnet to clients and know they are finding out about Breath of Life Coaching from other people (friends, family, and health-care providers), from presentations I’ve done, from me at networking meetings, and from the internet. Can I trust this? I know the Law of Attraction works. I’ve seen it work in my life and in other people’s lives countless times. Is my unconscious aligned enough with this that it won’t create block after block? Well I guess there’s really only one way to find out. I need to practice using kinesthetic visualization and imagine a full practice every day, all day long... practice thinking, acting, and speaking like her – the “future” me who is seeing 25 clients a week. But am I really willing to do this? Is this going to be one more thing that I try for a few months and then give up on? How can I be certain this is the right thing to focus on and that I will continue to be supported by the Divine? Kathryn (I’m talking to myself AGAIN!), I think you/we should just do this. Why not? What can it hurt? And we have a lot to gain from doing this – the least of which is to learn a lot – just like you’ve been learning by teaching (and marketing) the professional development workshops. That’s true. I have learned a lot by teaching and marketing those workshops. And I do enjoy teaching them and plan to continue in 2011. Okay - so what if I do trust that the Law of Attraction works. What does this mean in terms of what I need to do? Using kinesthetic visualization, I need to practice "seeing" 25 Breath of Life coaching clients every week and thinking, acting, and speaking as if I’m that person… so… Every day as I use kinesthetic visualization, I can ask myself what, if anything, do I need to do today – or this week? So, let me do it right now… Today… If you're a healing arts practitioner, get monthly articles from me and information about upcoming continuing education workshops and more! - In addition to the 2 1/2 hours I will be in my office with clients, I need to sit in there for 2 more hours visualizing, journaling, and imaging all that I need for my full practice.
- I feel myself as magnetic.
- I trust the process and follow the Guidance that arises.
- Today or tomorrow I need to write a practitioner circle e-newsletter about all of this.
