Intentions
Day Seventeen of How to Attract Clients and Grow a Thriving Private Practice in 40 Days: One woman’s personal journey of applying Manifestation and Marketing principles to re-building her private practice
By Kathryn Yarborough Today I want to focus on identifying my intentions for the month and week regarding rebuilding my private practice. For me, intentions are like goals that come from my heart. They give me direction and call me back to what really matters to me. As a way to get started and focused for the day, I often do this practice. Doing it centers and aligns me with what really matters. It's kind of like a heart centered "to do" list. Sometimes it's filled with tasks, but more often than not what shows up are things like Enjoy the day or Be open to people. The practice helps me align my heart, head, and body. The Practice To do it, I breathe into my heart and ask it what are my intentions for today or this week or this month. Okay… so I’m going to do it… For the Month Heart, what are my intentions for this month regarding my work?- To continue to rebuild my private practice
- To continue to be magnetic to clients and let people come into my life
- To continue to develop skills and see how people respond to the Breath of Life coaching sessions
- To set up 3 more speaking engagements
- To practice doing the Breath of Life presentation while being conscious of my breath – once a week for the next month
- To keep refining who I am attracting to the Breath of Life coaching practice so that I can be the most magnetic possible
- To keep sounding the bell with my heart that says. “Come, come to work with me”
- To expect to have a full practice by the end of the month
- To increase my magnetic pull 100 times or more over the next month
Wow – that’s some list. Usually it’s just like 3 or 4 things at the most. For the Week Heart, What are my intentions for this week regarding my work?- To catch up on all of my to do list of administrative tasks
- To write and post several pages of my 40 day journey
- To get ready for my vacation
- To attract 1- 5 new or returning clients who make appointments
- To see up to 10 clients this week and maybe more
- To continue kinesthetically visualizing seeing 25 clients a week (or having 25 paid client contact hours in private sessions or teaching) and magnetizing clients
- To practice thinking, speaking and acting like a person who has 25 clients a week
This list feels powerful, too. I’m experiencing such a potent transformation in myself as I do this work. In the past I had so much more resistance. Working on attracting clients used to feel like it just activated my desire to push people away. Now I just want people to come into my life. It’s kind of interesting that in the past week I’ve had several friends and neighbors ask me to get together or knock on my door for something – I think I'm turning into a magnet for people! I’m going to go do the magnetizing clients exercise so that I can focus on attracting clients!
