Holly Howard
Rolfing® Structural Integration Somatic Experiencing®, cranial and visceral work
Holly Howard has been Rolfing® since 1986 and practicing cranial, visceral and peripheral nerve work for 33 years. She brings movement education to her work, helping people find their natural coordination and alignment. (See hollyrolfer.com to see more about Rolfing® and Holly's training background.) Structural Integration helps you to stop using muscles that shouldn't be working so hard, wake up the tiny, tonic muscles that do support you in gravity and get in touch with how to do this on your own.
Holly's deep interest is in working with our innate mind/body unity and healing the mind/body split in our culture. For this reason, Holly's hands on work includes tracking "felt sense" and paying attention to self regulating mechanisms in our nervous systems, allowing deeper embodiment. Given time and support to reorganize, our systems know how to create health and happiness. (Holly is trained in and uses Somatic Experiencing® which you can learn more about on traumahealing.com) Holly is very happy to join the other practitioners at Center for Embodied Consciousness. If you want more information from Holly, call her at 410-367-8890. Go from Holly Howard's page to Practitioners at Center for Embodied Consciousness in Columbia.
