Holistic Healing

Holistic healing takes into account the whole person. It recognizes that all our systems are interconnected and affect each other.

Many of us on the conscious path of healing, awakening and co-creation began this journey out of a desire to heal - physically or emotionally.

When we learn about self help techniques or choose to expose ourselves to modalities outside of western medicine, we often discover holistic healing.

It helps us remember that we are...

  • Physical beings with complicated bodies made up of many parts including bones, muscles, organs, neurons, and more.

  • Emotional beings who experience feelings in response to life's ups and downs.

  • Cognitive, thinking beings who process tons of information in every moment and discern action based on our thoughts.

  • Energetic beings made up of electrons, protons, neurons all interacting together and creating energy flow through our energetic meridians and chakras.

  • Social beings who are supported, energized, and given meaning by our interactions with others.

  • Spiritual beings who are infinite and physical, connected with Source.

Our homes, environments, and relationships affect us. Our contact with the Earth - or lack of contact with Earth - transforms us.

True holistic healing takes all that we are into account...

Though there are holistic health care practitioners and holistic doctors, it's difficult for one person to fully understand all the human systems much less be able to use all the healing modalities available to us. Like... alternative medicine, psychotherapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, recreational therapy, breathwork, group therapy...

So instead, a variety of treatments and modalities have evolved that work with multi-layers of our being, including...

  • Multimodal therapy - a type of psychotherapy that takes into account the client's particular perspective and needs... so that each client's treatment is different and unique.

  • Anodyne therapy - a type of light therapy that uses a machine that emits a certain wavelength of the light spectrum to heal pain. Clearly using energy to affect the physical body.

  • Integrative breathwork - which invites the client to use a type of breathing pattern that increases the flow of Lifeforce in the body and invites healing to the whole person wherever needed - physical, emotional, cognitive, relational, or spiritual.

Those of us in the field of helping others do our best based on our training, a holistic perspective, and our own personal interests.

Not everyone chooses a conscious healing journey. Some people either ignore their suffering or prefer to stay within "mainstream" medicine and let someone else be in charge of their recovery.

In a holistic healing model, you are a part of your treatment and recovery. What you do, say, and think matters.

And you get to choose "alternative" modalities and practitioners to work with. Of course, often you also get to pay out of pocket for this choice, but sometimes these days, some insurance plans will reimburse you.

Once we've begun healing, many of us become aware of tools we can use to help ourselves like meditation, manifestation, and effective communication skills.

Some of us get called on to the spiritual journey of awakening... Others learn about conscious co-creation and the Law of Attraction.

However, once most people have begun a path of conscious healing they also want to practice wellness...
